2024 Almond Insurance Industry Awards: Full list of winners

Winners emerged at the prestigious 2024 Almond Insurance Industry Awards, which took place in Lagos on Friday night.

The 2024 Edition, which was well attended by stakeholders in the various arms of the insurance industry, policy makers, insurance clients, entertainers, and the Insuring Public, honored Individuals and organizations in eleven categories across the various arms of the Insurance Eco-System.

Members of the panel of Judges for the awards are: Hon. Justice Olufunmilayo O. Atilade, the Fifteenth (15th) Chief Judge of Lagos State; Chairman, Ms Prisca Soares, the immediate Past Secretary General of the African Insurance Organization (AIO); Dr. Jide Fadun, Risk Management and Insurance Specialist, Senior Lecturer Department of Actuarial Science and Insurance University of Lagos; Mr. Obinna Chilekezie, Insurance Expert/Researcher One Time Head Research and Statistics Nigerian Insurers Association (NIA); Mr. Obashola Alo, Group Head Financial Risk/Insurance Dangote Group; and Mr Rasaak Salami, Assistant Director/Head Corporate Affairs, National Insurance Commission, (NAICOM).

At the colorful event, where popular artists entertained guests, the Chief Executive Officer of Almond Productions Limited Ms. Faith Ughwode, said for so long, people viewed the Insurance Industry with a lot of suspicion and mistrust because insurance players were not pushing social platforms that creates fun for their existing and prospective customers.

“That is what the Almond Insurance Industry Awards is all about, using Pop-Culture to change the narratives of insurance,” she said.
