23-year-old wife allegedly kills husband, burns remains in Abuja

Rahimat Salaum, 23 was arrested on Monday by the Police Command of the Federal Capital Territory after she killed and burned the corpse of her paralysed husband, Shehu Salaum, during a fight.
Salaum according to the statement by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh, killed her husband after a misunderstanding and burned his corpse in an uncompleted building.
Adeh, in the statement, stated that the suspect was attempting to flee with the properties of the paralysed husband in a mini truck when police operatives apprehended her in Abuja on Monday.
Adeh in the statement stressed, “A 23-year-old woman, Rahimat Salaum was arrested on Monday after killing her paralysed husband, Shehu Salaum during a fight.
“She was trying to run with the man’s belongings when she was arrested. She confessed to the crime and led Policemen to the uncompleted building where she dumped the burnt corpse of her husband.”
However, Dailyeconomy on Saturday, July 27, 2024, reported that the Lagos Police Detectives of Oko-oba Division arrested suspected individuals involved in a child trafficking operation after selling the two-month-old child to a couple.
