Abuja man who climbed mast for suicide will face court if mentally stable — Police

The Federal Capital Territory Police Command said that the man who attempted suicide by climbing a mast will be charged to court if found mentally stable after a mental test.
This was disclosed in a statement on Tuesday by the FCT Police Command’s Spokesperson, Josephine Adeh.
Adeh according to the statement, said, the man will be charged in court for attempted suicide, disturbance of public peace and incitement.
The statement read, “We have sent Shuaibu Yushau, the man who climbed a broadcast mast yesterday to the Social Development Secretariat for a mental evaluation.
“If found mentally stable after the test, he will be charged to court for attempted suicide, disturbance of public peace and incitement.”
Dailyeconomy on Monday reported that Abuja Police Command apprehended a man identified who climbed an extremely high broadcast mast owned by Aso Radio in Katampe, Abuja, with a placard to commit suicide.
