Adamawa Gov approves N70,000 minimum wage‬

‪Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Fintiri has given his approval to the N70,000 minimum wage noting that the implementation will start in August. ‬

Recall that Dailyeconomy on Monday, July 29, reported that President Bola Tinubu has signed the new N70,000 national minimum wage amendment bill into law during the Federal Executive Council meeting that was held at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

‪The gov disclosed the development in a post shared on X (formally Twitter) on Monday. ‬

Fintiri acknowledged that the state civil servants deserve more and expressed his commitment to the welfare of workers in the state.

‪The post reads, “As a demonstration of our commitment to the welfare of workers in Adamawa State, I have approved the payment of a N70,000 minimum wage starting this August. Our civil servants deserve this and more. Together, we will continue to build a prosperous future for all.”

Meanwhile, Senate President Godswill Akpabio has stated that gatemen, drivers, housemaids and apprentices must earn no less than N70,000, as confirmed during the passage of the new minimum wage bill, as was reported by Dailyeconomy on Wednesday, July 24.
