Adamawa: NEMA distributes relief materials to victims of windstorm ‬

‪The National Emergency Management Agency has distributed relief items to the victims of the recent windstorm disaster in the Hong Local Government Area, Adamawa State.‬

‪The items distributed to the affected individuals according to a statement NEMA made available for Dailyeconomy were maize, rice, vegetable oil, seasoning cubes, and tomato paste.‬

‪The statement reads, “The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has successfully carried out the distribution of relief items to victims affected by the recent windstorm disaster in Hong Local Government Area (LGA), Adamawa State. ‬

‪“This relief intervention was approved by the Director General of NEMA, Mrs Zubaida Umar, ensuring that much-needed support reaches the impacted individuals and families.‬

‪“In collaboration with the Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency (ADSEMA), the NEMA team, alongside community leaders, conducted the distribution at the Hong LGA Secretariat.”‬

‪The distribution was said to have been witnessed by relevant stakeholders from the local government, community and other key sectors. ‬

‪“The relief items distributed to the affected persons included: maize, rice, vegetable oil, seasoning cubes, and tomato paste‬

‪“The distribution exercise was carried out smoothly and was witnessed by relevant stakeholders from the local government, community, and other key sectors.”

NEMA in the statement confirmed its commitment to providing timely and effective interventions to disaster victims across the nation, in line with its mandate to alleviate suffering and restore hope to affected communities.
