Adekunle Gold announces first ever collaboration with Olamide

Afrobeats star, Adekunle Gold has teased an upcoming single with Olamide, reflecting on the YBNL boss’s pivotal influence on his career.
In an exclusive statement shared with our correspondent on Monday., Adekunle Gold reminisced about his early days, “In 2014, he heard one song and that was enough. He gave me a chance when all I had was a dream and a voice, took me out of the country for the first time in my life.”
He credited Olamide with shaping his path, adding, “He helped shape my journey, and for the first time ever, we’ve made something special together.”
Titled “Formation,” the track symbolises their enduring bond.
“Formation is more than a song, it’s legacy and brotherhood. A reminder that wherever life takes us, we still share the same roots, the same spirit, and the same love,” Adekunle Gold stated.
He dedicated the moment to fans, saying, “To everyone who has carried YBNL in their hearts from day one until now, this moment is ours. YBNL forever.”
The highly anticipated release, “Formation featuring Olamide,” drops Thursday, April 9.
