The National President of the Afenifere Youth Council, Eniola Ojajuni, has regained freedom after spending 12 days in the hands of his abductors.

His release was confirmed in a post on his X (formally Twitter) handle on Saturday.

He wrote, “We are eternally indebted to the people of Nigeria for their altruistic endeavors and contributions towards securing the safe release of my brother, Prince Eniola Ojajuni, from captivity. Your benevolence and support during this arduous period will never be forgotten.”

Dailyeconomy reported that Ojajuni was kidnapped on Monday, February 17, while travelling to Abuja for a meeting.

While in captivity, a viral video emerged in which he pleaded for his release, revealing that his kidnappers were demanding a ransom of N100 million and two tricycles.
