Netizens have again rallied together to donate N1.3m to support a family with triplets in need.

An X (formally Twitter) user, identified as Olumuyiwa Egunjobi, lamented his inability to cater to his wife and the triplet on Wednesday, July 31.

Egunjobi in a post where he shared pictures of himself, his wife, and their triplets revealed “My name is Olumuyiwa. I work with the Federal Civil Service at the Federal Secretariat Complex Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta Ogun State.

“Recently, my wife gave birth to a beautiful set of triplets – two girls and a boy on July 22, 2024, at the Sacred Heart Hospital Lantoro Abeokuta. As you know, the economic situation in Nigeria is very challenging and after covering extensive hospital bills, medications and other essential expenses during our admission, I find myself with very little to provide for wife and children.

“As a result, I humbly appeal for your financial assistance during this challenging period. Your generosity will greatly help us manage the needs of my new family as we are newly married! May the Almighty God bless you abundantly for your kindness and support.”

Following his financial appeal he has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support and kindness from the netizen.

However, Egunjobi in another post on Thursday, August 1, acknowledged that he had received over N1m from netizens.

He confirms, “Within 24 hours , we received a total sum of N1.3m from the Twitter Family.

“We say a big thank you to everyone who has shown us love through money gifts, congratulatory messages and prayers. Thank you all, God bless.”

However, Dailyeconmy reported on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, that Nigerians contributed over N19 million to support a family with a quadruplet after a netizen as Jamysax noted that Sodiq Olayode wanted one more child after having two, and is now a father of six after his wife, Abiodun Olayode gave birth to a quadruplet.
