Ardova Plc has officially unveiled AP SuperMax Motor Oil, a new lubricant brand positioned to deliver reliable engine protection at an affordable price, as the company responds to the realities of everyday engine use and shrinking purchasing power.

The unveiling ceremony which took place on Thursday at AP Shomolu Service Station, Onipan in L9, was attended by key stakeholders, customers, staff and senior management of Ardova Plc, marking a significant expansion of the company’s lubricant portfolio and reinforcing its strategy of delivering value-driven products to the Nigerian market.

During a presentation at the ceremony, Ardova Plc said AP SuperMax was developed with the understanding that engines work relentlessly for daily livelihoods. The new motor oil is designed to protect engine components, keep engines clean and support peak performance.

According to the company, AP SuperMax is formulated with quality base oils and engineered for a wide range of everyday applications, including commercial buses (korope), tricycles (keke), private vehicles and generators that power homes and businesses during outages.

“Engine oil shouldn’t be a luxury,” Ardova Plc stated, noting that AP SuperMax delivers efficient performance at a price point that makes sense for the average user. The product is now available at AP and Enyo retail stations nationwide.

Deputy Managing Director of Ardova Plc, Dr. Abiola Babatunde-Ojo, said the company identified a clear opportunity to combine quality with affordability in the lubricant market.

“The new AP SuperMax is designed to deliver reliable performance at a pocket-friendly price,” Babatunde-Ojo said. “It is a brand that will go out there and attract more customers to us. We have come to realise that we can actually make a product that is premium and still affordable.”

She added that Ardova Plc remains committed to meeting customer needs, stressing that quality and affordability guided the development of the product.

“Other products within this category do not come this affordable,” she said. “For now, we are sticking with one-litre and four-litre bottles because that is where the demand is. We are ensuring quality and affordability.”

Also speaking at the event, General Manager, AP Lubricants, Sade Taiwo, described AP SuperMax as a direct response to customer feedback amid prevailing economic conditions.

“AP SuperMax is where quality meets affordability,” Taiwo said. “Ardova Plc listens to its customers. We have heard the complaints about pricing, the state of the economy and the purchasing power of the people, and we brought a product to the market for every end user.”

She disclosed that the lubricant is already available across Ardova’s over 700 retail stations nationwide, expressing confidence that the new brand would attract more customers while easing cost pressures on consumers.

“The benefits of AP SuperMax include engine cleanliness, high-temperature protection and corrosion resistance,” Taiwo added.
