“The bandits entered the village yesterday evening and they arrested everyone in that village and gathered them in one place, collected their phones and asked non indigenes to identify themselves, then they separated them and slaughtered about 50 people who were indigenes of the village,” the source recounted.

“The gunmen then separated the groups, executing those identified as locals while sparing a handful of outsiders. Then they freed the few ones that are not from the village,” the source stated.

Some from outside the community were also killed alongside the indigenes, it was gathered.

Only a few dared to claim non-local status, securing their release after the carnage.
