The Nigerian Army has announced significant progress in its fight against terrorism in the Northeast region during Operation HADIN KAI.

In a statement shared on X on Friday, the Army said, “Troops of Operation HADIN KAI, in collaboration with the Air Component, CJTF, and local hunters, intensified offensive and logistics strangulation operations across the North East from 15 to 22 July 2025, achieving notable successes.”

The operation led to the disruption of several terrorist supply routes in Adamawa and Borno States, resulting in the arrest of seven suspected logistics suppliers and the seizure of motorcycles, food items, fuel, and communication devices.

Successful raids and ambushes were conducted across various local government areas including Gwoza, Kaga, Bama, Monguno, and Konduga, where terrorists were neutralized and planned attacks were foiled.

Among those arrested was a suspect found with unauthorised Starlink equipment and another with a large cache of hard drugs.

The troops also recovered arms, IED materials, and additional communication gear. Furthermore, ten family members of terrorists surrendered in Bama LGA, indicating growing local support for the military’s efforts.

The Army’s statement highlighted a major interception on 22 July, “leading to the seizure of high-tech equipment and supplies en route to Gamboru.”

The Chief of Army Staff praised the courage of the troops and reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigerian Army to “defeating terrorism and restoring peace across the region.”
