Premier League leader, Arsenal has extended their remarkable run to nine consecutive wins in all competitions with a confident 2-0 victory against Burnley.

Goals from Viktor Gyokeres and Declan Rice secured Arsenal’s fifth consecutive league triumph, pushing Mikel Arteta’s side seven points clear at the top—despite having played one more game than some rivals.

Arsenal broke the deadlock from a set-piece, with Gyokeres finishing off a close-range chance from Rice’s corner delivery.

Burnley’s goalkeeper Martin Dubravka made a notable save denying Bukayo Saka, while Leandro Trossard’s effort was cleared off the line.

Rice doubled the lead before halftime, heading in Trossard’s chipped cross.
Burnley, despite having more possession in the second half, failed to capitalise on chances, including a Florentino Luis header and Marcus Edwards striking the post in stoppage time.

The defeat sees Burnley in 17th place, four points clear of the relegation zone as Arsenal continue their dominant start with eight wins in ten Premier League matches this season.
