The family of Afrobeats singer, Ahmed Ololade, alias Asake, has spoken out following allegations from one Fatai Odunsi, a man claiming to be the singer’s father.
The controversy began after a video of Odunsi, accusing the singer of abandoning him despite his battle with a stroke in 2022, went viral on social media.
The artist however responded to the issue, explaining in a song how it’s almost impossible to please anyone, and how his own father is trying to cajole him, Dailyeconomy reported.
Asake’s family has thereby urged the singer to cater for the needs of his father, 11 year old daughter Zeenat, and his baby mama.
In a video, a woman was seen, urging the singer to do the needful by purchasing a Landed property in his father’s name as a source of revenue for the family, and also taking full responsibility for his daughter.
She said, “Your father is your father, you can’t replace him with another.
“Please take care of your father. If you don’t want to support him directly, buy him a house in Isale Eko where he can earn rent to survive.
“In this Isale Eko, you can see house of N40m, N50m that you can build that this man can be collecting rent.
“Also, if you are in doubt about Zeenat, the mother has agreed to a DNA test.”
