ASAP Rocky cleared of Hollywood shooting charges , Rihanna overcome with emotion

Rapper A$AP Rocky, boyfriend of music superstar Rihanna, has been pardoned of all charges in connection with a shooting incident involving his former friend, Terell Ephron, also known as A$AP Relli, in Hollywood in 2021.

The 36-year-old, who has earned three Grammy nominations, faced two felony assault charges after allegedly firing a semiautomatic firearm at Ephron during a heated altercation.

The two men, once close friends and fellow members of the A$AP Mob crew from their high school days in New York saw their relationship sour after Rocky’s rise to fame.

Following the trial, the rapper was found not guilty, bringing an end to the legal battle over the incident.

Rihanna was overcome with emotion and broke into tears as the not-guilty verdicts were delivered on Tuesday.

A$AP Rocky, who had faced up to 24 years in prison if convicted, rushed to her side, leaping into her arms in a moment of relief after being spared from a lengthy sentence.
