A delegation from the Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI), led by Managing Director Dr Armstrong Ume Takang, recently visited the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, to explore investment opportunities within Nigeria’s aviation industry.
This was obtained in a statement shared on Wednesday by Keyemo’s spokesman, Gbenga Saka.
The visit also included representatives from Power International Holdings, a Qatari investment partner.
During the meeting, Takang praised Keyamo’s recent Competitiveness and Transparency Committee (CTC) and Integrated Data and Economic Resource Allocator (IDERA) initiatives, calling them “a masterstroke toward building a robust aviation sector critical to achieving President Bola Tinubu’s trillion-dollar economy vision.”
Minister Keyamo welcomed the collaboration, emphasizing the importance of sound policy development in attracting investments.
He described MOFI as “the missing link” in his efforts to transform the aviation sector and expressed optimism about the prospects of a joint working team to advance their shared goals.
Both parties agreed to establish a dedicated task force to deepen cooperation and stimulate growth in the aviation industry, setting a strategic path for Nigeria’s economic development through enhanced aviation investments.
