In a recent social media exchange that has captured the attention of music fans, an X (formally Twitter) user sparked a lively discussion by expressing hopes that Ayomaff and Olamide would not collaborate on their upcoming albums.
The user wrote, “I hope they don’t feature each other in their Albums, because I actually want to see if Ayomaff can beat Olamide’s Album in the streets.”
This comment prompted a thoughtful and respectful response from Ayomaff himself.
Addressing the fan directly, Ayomaff said, “Yesterday Odumodu & Zlatan today Ayomaff & Olamide? Chief, I’ve seen your tweets supporting me on here and I always appreciate it, but please let’s know where to draw the line.
“Everybody here sabi the story of how I got here, the role Olamide played & still playing, please let’s put some respect on the King’s name🙏🏽 never to compare me with my helper again! Never!! King & prince no be mate!”
Ayomaff’s statement highlights the deep respect and gratitude he holds for Olamide, acknowledging the veteran artist’s significant influence on his career.
By referring to Olamide as “King” and himself as “prince,” Ayomaff underscores the mentorship and hierarchy in their relationship, urging fans to appreciate the legacy and contributions of both artists without pitting them against each other.
This exchange not only sheds light on the camaraderie within the Nigerian music scene but also serves as a reminder of the importance of respect and recognition among artists and their supporters.
However, fans eagerly await the release of both albums, anticipating the unique styles and talents each artist will bring to the streets.
