Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson has endorsed the Real Madrid star, Vinicius Jr. for the 2024 Ballon d’Or, bypassing his teammate Rodri, who is also a frontrunner for the award.

In an interview with TNT Sports Brazil, Ederson expressed his support, stating, “I am rooting for Vini Jr. to win the Ballon d’Or. I hope he wins it.”

This marks a significant moment as no Brazilian has claimed the prestigious title since Kaká in 2007.

Ederson’s backing adds to the growing momentum for Vinícius Jr., who is seen as a strong contender to end that drought on October 28.
