The Chief Executive Officer of the British Insurance Brokers Association (BIBA), Mr. Graeme Trudgill, has paid a visit to the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB), marking a significant milestone in the relationship between the two organizations.

The President of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers, Prince Babatunde Adeleke Oguntade, while receiving him at the Council’s Secretariat in Lagos, said that the visit by Trudgill was a testament to the commitment of both organizations to work together and drive growth and development in the insurance industry.

Prince Oguntade opined that international collaboration would be a key driver of success as the industry looks to the future.

The visit highlighted the growing partnership between NCRIB and BIBA, which has been mutually beneficial for both parties.

Nigerian insurance brokers, through the yearly BIBA conference, had gained valuable insights into the UK insurance broking practices, while Nigerian delegates have added diversity and color to the Conference.

According to the President, the visit came on the heels of the prestigious Leadership Award conferred on Olola Olabode Ogunlana, a pioneer in the Nigerian insurance industry, at a plenary session during the 2025 BIBA Conference.

During the visit, the NCRIB President called for more African content in BIBA Conference sessions, given the increasing number of African attendees under umbrella of the NCRIB.

He noted that the move would enhance inclusiveness and provide a wider spectrum for delegates to learn about insurance dynamics in other continents.

“As the insurance industry continues to evolve, the partnership between NCRIB and BIBA is poised to drive growth and development in the sector. The visit by Graeme Trudgill is a significant step in this direction, and both organizations are expected to explore new opportunities for collaboration.” He said
