Bobrisky rebuts bribery allegations, claims innocence

Abdullateef Fowewe

Controversial social media personality and cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky, has denied allegations of bribing the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission officials with N15 million to elude money laundering charges.

Bobrisky in a statement on Instagram, labelled a viral audio recording, made the claims, fake and misleading, asserting that he completed his jail term and did not pay any bribe.

He wrote, “My attention has been drawn to a fake voice recording circulating on the Internet that I paid EFCC 15 million naira, and that I was never in prison.

“I didn’t pay any EFCC money, which is a very big lie. I served my term in full, and I came out. Discard any false information.”

Dailyeconomy had earlier reported that the EFCC has initiated an investigation into the allegations and invited both Bobrisky and the accuser, Martins Otse better known as VeryDarkMan for questioning.
