After undergoing a series of medical tests at AC Milan over the weekend, Nigerian forward Victor Boniface has returned to Germany, with no official green light yet granted for his potential move to the Italian giants.
Boniface, who spent 48 hours in Milan for comprehensive medical evaluations, arrived back in Leverkusen today, where he now awaits an imminent decision from AC Milan regarding the outcome of his checks.
Bayer Leverkusen’s sporting director, Rudi Rolfes, expressed a clear stance on the situation.
“If Boniface comes back to Leverkusen, the AC Milan deal will be over. That’s no big secret,” Rolfes told BILD, adding, “Renegotiating the deal? I don’t think that will happen.”
Despite the unresolved transfer, Rolfes gave a positive update on Boniface’s fitness.
“His physical situation has improved compared to the beginning,” he noted, indicating progress but also hinting at ongoing concerns that may have influenced AC Milan’s hesitation.
