BUA Group chairman Abdulsamad Rabiu has handed over $500,000 in cash directly to the Super Eagles players in their dressing room following their defeat to Morocco in the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
This fulfillment of Rabiu’s pledge came just a day after he announced on Thursday via his official Instagram page that he would reward the team regardless of their failure to win the title.
The gesture underscores unwavering backing for the national team’s efforts.
Rabiu praised the players’ resilience, courage, and fighting spirit throughout the tournament.
“You fought with your hearts, gave your all, and showed true courage and determination on the pitch. Though it wasn’t meant to be this time, you have made every Nigerian proud,” he wrote in his post.
