CBN highlights outcomes of 12th IMF AFRITAC West 2

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has shared insights from the recently concluded 12th Steering Committee Meeting of the IMF AFRITAC West 2, held at the Abuja Continental Hotel from July 7 to 8, 2025.

The event featured dynamic panel discussions and high-level interactions aimed at strengthening economic governance in the region.

The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Olayemi Cardoso, was represented by the Deputy Governor, Economic Policy, Muhammad Sani Abdullahi, who actively participated in the deliberations.

In a statement posted on X, the CBN noted, “Footages from the 12th Steering Committee Meeting, IMF AFRITAC West 2, held at the Abuja Continental Hotel from Monday, 7th to Tuesday, 8th July, 2025, featuring engaging panel discussions and high-level interactions among participants.

“The Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria, Mr. Olayemi Cardoso, who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Economic Policy, Dr. Muhammad Sani Abdullahi, joined delegates in deliberating on achievements in monetary policy and financial supervision, progress in domestic revenue mobilisation, and advancements in public financial management, among other key issues.”
