CBN hosts WTO Director-General in Abuja

The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Olayemi Cardoso, hosted the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, on a working visit to the CBN Head Office in Abuja.

According to a post on the CBN’s official X handle, the visit focused on discussions surrounding trade matters and Nigeria’s engagement with global trade frameworks.

It reads, “The Governor, Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Mr. Olayemi Cardoso, welcomed the Director General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO), Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, on a working visit to the CBN Head Office, Abuja, on Thursday, August 14, 2025.

“Joining the discussions were the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, and Nigeria’s Ambassador to the WTO, Amb. (Dr.) Adamu Abdulhamid.”
