China’s Consul General in Lagos, Yan Yuqing, has showered praise on the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Thursday for its “investigative and enforcement effectiveness” and ongoing teamwork against financial crimes.

The commendation came during a courtesy visit to the EFCC’s Lagos Zonal Directorate 2 office in Ikoyi, led by Yuqing and her delegation. They met with Acting Zonal Director ACE1 Bawa Usman Kaltungo.

A statement obtained from the EFCC on Thursday titled, “Anti-Graft War: China’s Consul General Lauds EFCC, Seeks Enhanced Information Sharing.”

Yuqing highlighted the EFCC’s role in tackling “national and trans-border financial crimes,” calling for stronger collaboration.

“We laud the EFCC for its investigative and enforcement effectiveness, as well as its sustained collaboration,” she stated, according to the release.
