COAS charges depot NA Osogbo on effective training to produce top-notch soldiers

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lieutenant General Olufemi Oluyede, during his maiden operational visit to Depot Nigerian Army Osogbo, underscored the critical importance of effective training and professionalism in shaping soldiers that Nigerians can be proud of.
This was made known in a statement issued by the Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Lieutenant Colonel Appolonia Anele.
In his address, Oluyede urged officers and instructors to “align with my vision of enhancing the Nigerian Army’s capabilities in discharging its constitutional responsibilities.”
He further charged the instructors to “train the recruits with passion, focusing on capacity development with the sole aim of producing high-quality personnel.”
The COAS also conducted a thorough inspection of the training facilities and infrastructure at the Depot, assessing current readiness and identifying areas for improvement to boost the Army’s operational effectiveness.
