Contributory pension assets rise to N21.92tn, RSA registration 10,535,608 in October

Assets under the Contributory Pension Scheme gained about N541m in October, to hit a value of N21.92tn.

Figures obtained by Daily Economy from the National Pension Commission (PenCom) from its report titled, ‘Unaudited report on pension funds industry portfolio for the period ended 31 October 2024; Approved Existing Schemes, Closed Pension Fund Administrators and RSA Funds (Including unremitted contributions @CBN & Legacy Funds)’, revealed on Thursday.

According to the figures, the bulk of the assets totaling N13.57tn, was invested in Federal Government securities.

Other portfolio where the pension operators invested the assets are in money market instruments, and mutual funds.

PenCom disclosed that the total workers who registered and have Retirement Savings Accounts with various Pension Fund Administrators rose to 10,535,608 in the period under review.
