Court grants Speed Darlington bail

An Abuja Court has granted controversial singer, Darlington Okoye alias Speed Darlington bail after the Police arraignment.

This was made known on Wednesday, by Darlington’s lawyer, Deji Adeyanju via his X (formally Twitter).

Adeyanju said, “Police finally arraigns Speed Darlington in court.

“Bail application moved and granted. We are trying to perfect same.”

However, the details of his bail haven’t been disclosed at the time of filling this report.

Speed Darlington had recently petitioned Deputy Inspector General of Police, Dasuki Galadanchi, over his continued detention.

In the petition, Speed Darlington asked the DIG to comply with a court order challenging his continued detention by the police.

Recall that Speed Darlington was apprehended for accusing singer Burna Boy of having an amoral relationship with embattled United States singer Diddy.
