Despite an overwhelming urge to sprint towards his players to celebrate their late match-winning goal, Glasner restrained himself to avoid a potential fine.
Reflecting on the moment, Glasner said, “Now over 50, I should look after my heart, make it a little bit easier to relax a little bit earlier.”
He described the thrill of scoring late in front of their fans as “just so great,” explaining how the adrenaline pushed him to run but then stopped: “I wanted to run to the players, but after five yards, I stopped because I remembered I considered a yellow card.”
Glasner humorously added a personal reason behind his restraint, “Once I have to pay something for the team and this is my wife gets upset with me and then, so it’s the better way.”
