Cultist apprehended while trying to buy AK-47 in Delta

The Delta Police Command has apprehended a suspected cultist attempting to buy an AK-47 rifle for N1.3 million.

This was disclosed in a video shared by the Delta Police Public Relations Officer, Bright Edafe via his X (formally Twitter) handle on Tuesday.

Edafe stated that the suspect was a member of the Vikings confraternity, was aiming for a top leadership position within the group and the requirement for the position was to possess an AK-47 rifle.

The arrest took place during negotiations for the purchase of the weapon.

Edafe said, “It starts with bad friends, then migrates to internet fraud, cultism, acquiring of arms, and finally when Yahoo stop paying, they migrate to kidnapping and armed robbery.

“He said he belonged to the Vikings confraternity and was vying for the number 1 position and the condition to get the position is to own an AK-47 rifle. He was arrested while negotiating to buy an AK-47 rifle for N1,300,000 Naira.”
