Cultist clash: Ogun police arrests one suspected killer of Mosquito

The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a suspect in connection with the murder of a cultist member well known as Mosquito, who was slain during a recent clash between rival cult groups in the ljagun ljebu Ode area of Ogun State.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer, SP Omolola Odutola on Saturday, the arrest of the suspected cultist, Adekunle Adebanjo, was made six days after the rival cult terror that resulted in the death of Mosquito.

She however noted that other cultists would be arrested at large as long as the police get credible information from their ongoing investigation, underlining that the police would welcome useful information that will lead to cracking down on cultist hideouts in Ogun State.

Odutola wrote, “Arrest of suspected cultist: 17th August, 2024. Six days after rival cults engaged themselves in ljagun ljebu Ode and killed ‘Mosquito’ DPO Igbeba apprehended one Adekunle Adebanjo, 32 yrs in Isiwo ljebu. Others at large will be arrested. Share credible information, please.

“Ogun State Police Command welcomes valuable information that will lead to cracking down on more hideouts in Ogun State.

“Please share the story about the one-chance alert to create larger awareness so that our friends and family will not fall prey to one chance.”

Dailyeconomy on Frida, August 16, reported that ‪the Ogun State Police Command confirmed the arrest of the notorious cultist terrorising the Oja Odan area of Ogun State.
