Manchester United forward, Matheus Cunha has showered praise on his new club, dismissing any negativity and envisioning a triumphant revival under the current regime.

“I never think about the negative side of Manchester United. For me, it’s an extraordinary club,” Cunha noted in a recent interview.

The Brazilian star, who joined from Wolves in a £62.5 million summer transfer in June 2025, added with optimism, “I joke that the giant is sleeping, and that we are going to wake it up.”

Cunha’s comments come during a transitional 2026 season for United, who languish in mid-table in the Premier League.

New manager Michael Carrick, appointed in January, is tasked with revitalising the squad and boosting fan morale after a challenging campaign.

The high-profile signing was seen as a cornerstone move to strengthen the attack under the prior setup, and Cunha’s enthusiasm signals renewed hope at Old Trafford.
