The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has announced the official launch of its One-Stop-Shop (OSS) — a centralised operational framework designed to revolutionise cargo clearance and enhance trade efficiency across the country.
In a statement released on Sunday, the NCS described the One-Stop-Shop (OSS) as a technology-driven system that consolidates all interventions on flagged or non-compliant declarations into a single, collaborative platform involving all relevant Customs units.
According to the Service, the OSS is aimed at improving trade facilitation, accountability, and transparency by enabling joint review, examination, and decision-making at one central location.
The new framework is expected to reduce cargo dwell time to an average of 48 hours per shipment, cut demurrage costs, and boost operational efficiency across Nigeria’s ports and borders.
Highlighting the technological foundation of the initiative, Customs noted that the OSS is powered by the B’Odogwu digital platform, which supports real-time data sharing, centralised documentation, analytical reporting, and seamless trader engagement via the official Customs portal.
The agency reiterated its commitment to leveraging technology to promote ease of doing business, strengthen supply chain integrity, and support Nigeria’s economic competitiveness in global trade.
