Nigeria ballad, Oyindamola Emmanuel well known as Dammy Krane has publicly apologised to Davido following his release from police custody after four days of detention.
In a viral video on Instagram, he expressed remorse for past allegations he made regarding the death of Tagbo and claims about Davido’s personal life, including suggesting that Davido was only getting married because his fiancée, Chioma, caught him cheating.
However, after the accusations, Davido’s legal team requested that Dammy Krane retract his statements within 24 hours and refrain from making further defamatory comments, noting that failure to comply would result in legal action.
Last week, reports arose that Dammy Krane had been arrested and was facing potential criminal charges for his defamatory statements over Davido.
Nevertheless, Davido chose to drop all charges against him, leading to Dammy Krane’s release.
Dammy Krane in his first public appearance after he regained freedom, expressed gratitude to his friend, Very Dark Man and admitted that he had made statements that he regretted.
He, however, apologised particularly for the allegations concerning Tagbo’s death and reiterated that despite their differences, Davido remains his brother.
He said, “I want to say a big thank you to my brother, Very Dark Man. I know you all weren’t expecting it.
“I know there were many words that ought not to be said, I apologise for this Tagbo-death allegation and all that.
“Make una still remember Davido is still my brother and we will find a way to resolve this.”
Dailyeconomy on August 23, reported that Dammy Krane has accused Davido of planning to oppress him with police for seeking justice.
