Dangote Refinery has raised the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, to ₦1,275 per litre – a ₦30 jump from the earlier ₦1,245 rate announced just hours prior.
In a fresh customer advisory issued today, the refinery attributed the increase to volatile global crude oil prices.
The new gantry price took effect at 12:00 a.m. on March 21, 2026, overriding all prior announcements.
“Earlier pricing is no longer applicable and should be disregarded,” the statement read, signaling a complete revision amid fast-shifting market dynamics.
The coastal supply price also climbed, rising from ₦1,512,648 to ₦1,646,748 per metric tonne.
These rates now cover all pending and undelivered volumes, with customers holding valid Bank Guarantees able to proceed with loading after settling the price differential.
The back-to-back hikes underscore the downstream sector’s vulnerability to international oil fluctuations, fueling worries about broader pump price surges across Nigeria’s fuel stations.
