Davido set to release new album in early 2025, teases new single ‘Funds’

Afrobeat star, David Adeleke well known as Davido, has confirmed that his fifth studio album is slated for release in early 2025.

The highly anticipated project is expected to blend authentic African rhythms with his signature global appeal.

While appearing on The Baller Alert Show, Davido offered a glimpse into the album by teasing an upcoming single titled “Funds,” featuring Nigerian rapper, Odumodublvck and singer Chike.

The Afrobeat star hailed Odumodublvck as Nigeria’s reigning rap king and likened Chike’s musical style to that of American R&B artist Bryson Tiller, promising fans a unique and memorable collaboration.

“We have another coming in couple of days, it is called ‘Funds’. I featured the current biggest Nigerian rapper, Odumodublvck, and the Nigerian Bryson Tiller, girls love him, his name is Chike,” Davido said.

Davido expressed his excitement about the upcoming album and single, stating, “My album will be coming out early next year. It will be a real African record.”

He also emphasised his commitment to staying connected to his Nigerian roots, saying, “I have to stay tapped in because why run away from home when others are running there now.”
