Deji Adeyanju confirms missing Speed Darlington is in police custody

A famous activist and lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, has confirmed that singer, Darlington Okoye, alias Speed Darlington, who has been missing since Friday, October 4, is in custody of the Nigerian Police Force in Abuja.

Adeyanju in an X (formally Twitter) post on Tuesday, claimed that Speed Darlington’s arrest was based on a formal complaint from renowned Nigerian singer, Burna Boy.

He wrote, “We just spent the last 30 minutes with Speed Darlington and he narrated how he was arrested in Lagos Friday last week, moved around and eventually brought to Abuja and has been in detention since then.

“Petition against him was written by Burna Boy, we can confirm.”

Also in the now-viral video, Speed Darlington’s mummy could be seen begging Burna Boy to pardon his son, claiming that he is the only son she has.

“Burna Boy came with his team to pick up my son because of a video he made. He is my only son; please forgive him,” she said.
