Delta Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has held discussions with the leadership of JAMPUR Group, headed by CEO Mohammad Shafiq, regarding potential investment opportunities in the state’s energy and agro-allied sectors at the Government House in Asaba.

In a statement shared on X, Oborevwori stated, “In a separate development today, I held a meeting with the management of JAMPUR Group, led by Chief Executive Officer Mohammad Shafiq, at Government House, Asaba. We discussed investment opportunities in the energy sector and agro-allied industry.

“With the unbundling of the power sector by the Federal Government and the power sector law now in place in the state, a regulatory framework for investor protection is guaranteed.

“As a government, we are exploring areas of collaboration to include power generation, smart meter production, a fertiliser blending plant, and a solar panel production plant.

“I have directed the State’s Economic Management Team (EMT) to further engage strategically with the JAMPUR Group management on due diligence, financing options, and expected outcomes, in view of the Group’s strong portfolio in the end-to-end provision of energy solutions in parts of the country, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).”
