Digital Economy core to US, Nigeria partnership says US Consul General

The U.S. Consul General, Rick Swart, has reiterated that the digital economy is fundamental to the commercial and investment relationship between the U.S. and Nigeria.
In his goodwill speech at GITEX Nigeria 2025, Swart highlighted the significant role U.S. technology firms play in enhancing Nigeria’s digital infrastructure and promoting closer technological ties between the two nations.
He stressed that these partnerships are contributing to shared prosperity and driving innovation and opportunities in both Nigeria and the United States.
