Highlighting the importance of local councils in grassroots governance, Governor Diri advocated for states to be empowered to create LGAs based on their capacities and resources. During the event at the Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha Banquet Hall, he also presented over five billion naira in gratuities, retirement, and death benefits to retirees and families of deceased pensioners across Bayelsa’s eight LGAs.
