Oyo State Police Command has issued a strong warning alongside the unveiling of a recently arrested criminal, emphasising the dangers faced by law enforcement officers daily.

Posting ammunition and some individuals who are suspected to be criminals on Saturday via X, the police wrote, “Being in law enforcement is an incredibly challenging role, especially when each day feels like a battle with uncertainty—wondering if you’ll make it home to your family. It’s amusing how someone who might freeze at the sight of a cockroach can suddenly feel a rush of excitement over free data.

“Remember this: don’t show up to a gunfight with toothpicks. It’s a lesson worth learning right now!”

The message highlights the serious risks officers face and underscores the need for adequate preparedness when confronting crime.
