DSS arrests medical doctor linked to kidnapping rings in Kwara

The Department of State Services (DSS) has intercepted and taken into custody a medical doctor connected to kidnapping rings in Kwara State.
The Kwara State Government in a statemment on Friday confirmed that the arrest happened in the Jebba area as the doctor was transporting drugs from Sokoto to aid the kidnappers.
The DSS explained that the criminal gangs have become increasingly desperate for medical supplies, especially for treating gunshot wounds from clashes with security forces.
A security official warned, “So, we are advising improved security measures in health facilities in thickly forested areas which the kidnappers may target.”
