Early enlightenment key to happy retirement- Alhaji Gbadebo Olatokunbo, (NTA Contributory Pensioner)

It is only when employees have early knowledge on what needs to be done via public education/enlightenment on planning for retirement that they can start planning early for retirement without tears.

Alhaji Gbadebo Olatokunbo, (NTA Contributory Pensioner), said this in a statement made available to Daily Economy.

He said it is the responsibility of the employers (public/private) to give the enlightenment to their employees, during the 2024 Inspenonline Retirement Summit and Unveiling of Insurfeel Initiative in Lagos on Thursday.

According to him, “There should be a policy by employers of labour to prepare the minds of their employees towards retirement and it should if not a must, have to start such introduction of their officials on how to have a good retirement plan, at least five years in service, so that most, if not all, must have engaged in one vocation or the other on whatever they wish to do in retirement before their retirement. And, it could be discussed with the policy makers to buy into such policy in order to help our economy and promote good health among pensioners.”
