Vice President Kashim Shettima has reassured Nigerians that current economic hardships are temporary, promising better times under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
In a statement issued on Sunday by Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media & Communications (Office of the Vice President), Shettima emphasised the administration’s dedication to peace, economic recovery, and lasting prosperity.
He noted that national renewal requires sacrifice and unity.
Reflecting on Easter’s themes, the Vice President expressed optimism about overcoming Nigeria’s economic and security woes.
“Easter is a reminder that history often bends in favour of those who refuse to surrender to despair. It is the story of light piercing through darkness, of hope rising from the shadows of pain, and of faith prevailing over fear,” he said.
Shettima acknowledged past difficulties but affirmed Nigeria’s resilience.
“I remain confident that by our collective will, shared sacrifice, and abiding faith in the promise of this nation, we shall triumph over whatever challenges beset us momentarily,” the statement quoted him as saying.
He urged citizens to stay united, back the administration’s reforms, and embrace diversity as a national strength, stressing patience and purpose for progress.
