EFCC apprehends seven suspected Internet fraudsters in Edo

The operatives of the Benin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission arrested seven suspected internet fraudsters in Benin City, Edo State.

The suspects were arrested on Tuesday, January 14, and according to EFCC on Wednesday, were apprehended based on credible intelligence on their alleged involvement in internet-related fraud.

Items recovered from them include one Lexus car, laptops and phones.

The anti-graft agency thereby said the suspects would be charged in court as soon as investigations are concluded.
