EFCC nabs 15 suspects for fraud in Lagos

The men of the Lagos Zonal Directorate 2 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have apprehended 15 suspected internet fraudsters in Lagos.
The suspects were arrested during a sting operation conducted on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Maple and Jand Court, Royal Pine Estate, Orchid Road, Lekki area of Lagos State.
According to a statement by the anti-graft agency on Friday, items recovered from the suspects at the time of arrest include several mobile phones, laptop computers, and vehicles.
It reads, “Operatives of the Lagos Zonal Directorate 2 of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested 15 suspected internet fraudsters in Lagos.
“They were arrested during a sting operation on Friday, April 25 , 2025 at Maple and Jand Court, Royal Pine Estate, Orchid Road, Lekki, Lagos, following credible intelligence on their suspected involvement in fraudulent internet-related activities.
“Items recovered from them at the point of arrest include mobile phones, laptop computers and cars.”
However, the agency vowed that the suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
