EFCC nabs 22 suspected fraudsters, recovers vehicles in Benin City

The operatives of the Benin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission have arrested 22 suspected Internet fraudsters at different locations within Benin City.
This was contained in a statement Dailyeconomy obtained from the EFCC website on Thursday.
Items recovered from the suspects who were arrested based on their involvement in internet-related fraud are 10 exotic vehicles, phones and laptops.
The release reads, “Operatives of the Benin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on Tuesday August 20, 2024 arrested 22 suspected internet fraudsters at different locations within Benin City.
“The suspects were arrested based on actionable intelligence regarding their suspected involvement in internet-related fraud. Items recovered from them include 10 exotic cars, laptops and phones
“The suspects will be charged in court as soon as investigations are concluded.”
Dailyeconomy on July 30, reported that the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Abuja Zonal Command, have apprehended nine individuals for suspected Internet fraud in the Wuye axis of Abuja.
