EFCC places Kano resident Rabiu Tijjani on wanted list over $1.9m fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has announced that Rabiu Auwalu Tijjani is wanted for alleged participation in a financial crime amounting to $1.9 million.

In a statement from Dele Oyewale, the EFCC spokesperson, the agency indicated that Tijjani is being pursued in relation to charges of conspiracy, obtaining money under false pretenses, and money laundering totaling $1,931,700.12 (One million, nine hundred and thirty-one thousand, seven hundred dollars, and twelve cents).

The 43-year-old suspect hails from Dala LGA in Kano state.

The EFCC noted that Tijjani’s last known residence is 59 Murtala Muhammed Way in Kano state, but his current location is unknown.

The commission has urged the public to provide any information regarding Tijjani’s whereabouts to any of its offices nationwide, including those located in Ibadan, Uyo, Sokoto, Maiduguri, Benin, and Makurdi, Kaduna, Ilorin, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt, and Abuja.
