Eid-el-Maulud: Soludo urges unity, peace

Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has congratulated Muslims in the state and across Nigeria on the celebration of Eid-el-Maulud, calling for unity, love, and compassion among citizens.

Soludo in a statement shared on X said the occasion provides an opportunity for reflection on the values exemplified by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), particularly peace, kindness, and respect for humanity.

The statement reads, “Warmest congratulations to our Muslim brothers and sisters in Anambra State and across Nigeria on the joyous occasion of Eid el Maulud! May this celebration bring us closer to the values of peace, love, and compassion that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) embodied.

“As we mark this significant day, let’s reflect on the importance of unity, kindness, and respect for all, regardless of faith or background. In Anambra State, we’re committed to fostering an inclusive environment where everyone can coexist peacefully.

“Wishing you all a blessed and fulfilling celebration filled with joy, peace, and prosperity. May Eid-el-Maulud bring us together in the spirit of love and harmony!”
