El-Rufai refutes defection rumour

Former Kaduna Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has dismissed claims circulating that he has defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party.

El-Rufai debunked the claims in a post he shared via his X (formally Twitter) handle, describing the allegations as “patent lies”.

He wrote, “Please disregard the patent lies and rumours about my political affiliation.

“I have referred the lead peddlers of the fake news for further action by my lawyers.”
