Exchange rate: Naira to other currencies today
The naira was bought and sold for 1,596/$ and N1,600/$ at the parallel market on Thursday, August 15.
Bureau de Change (BDC) operators who spoke to Dailyeconomy said.
According to them, the naira was bought and sold for N2,040/£ and N2,080/£; it was bought and sold for N1,690/€ and sold for N1,725/€ respectively.
They said that the local currency was bought and sold to the Chinese Yuan CNY at N185/¥ and N210/¥ respectively.
At the official Investor & Exporter forex window, the naira hit a high of N1,600/$ before closing at N1,564.20/$, figures obtained from the FMDQ revealed.
A total turnover of N149.25m was recorded at the official trading platform at the close of business on Thursday.
